Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Too cold and artificial. more

the pop as it should be more
Sonic Youth -Daydream Nation
Their most precious gem! Rating: 9 more
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
They could open and close with just the album Brain Salad Surgery. And they would have been the same for 5. Excluding them from the pantheon of progressive music is incompetence in the field. Anyway, if you’re more inclined towards Dario Baldan Bembo, I still respect you. more
Immortal -Battles In The North
Brrr... who turned off the radiator??? more
Gavin Harrison
Unbelievable! Portnoy can kiss his balls. Phenomenal. more
Pierpaolo Capovilla
The Beppe Grillo of Italian music. more
Vasco Brondi
Not something to listen to all the time, musically sparse, but get swept up in the gray landscapes that his songs paint and you'll understand why he is liked. Vasco is either loved or hated. more
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Yes, they are show-offs and exhibitionists of the worst kind, but Tarkus, Trilogy, and Brain Salad Surgery are a full 5! more
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
I don't understand what these three have done that is so striking. So much technique serving nothing, or almost. Fortunately, prog and music in general also have a soul! more
Emerson, Lake & Palmer
I still need to understand why for many, an artist can't be great if they don't know how to play an instrument. We're talking about a unique band (the only ones that come close are the (inferior) Yes, in the progressive realm). I believe the suite "Tarkus" is among the top 10 light music compositions to be passed down to future generations. Definitely among the BEST in the progressive genre. more
Il Teatro Degli Orrori -Dell'Impero Delle Tenebre
Great debut album from the group led by Pierpaolo Capovilla, 11 tracks all beautiful, especially "Dio mio," "E lei venne," "Lezione di musica," and "La canzone di Tom." An opening with the first 6 tracks very violent and fast, a closing with increasingly slow and melancholic melodies... definitely a very good job! more
Iron Maiden -Brave New World
I will definitely go against the grain, and the most die-hard Maiden fans will curse me, but in my opinion, it's the best work the band has ever done. All 10 tracks are beautiful (perhaps only "The Nomad" is a bit lacking), and the cover makes me drool; in fact, I also have the poster in my bedroom...great album with Bruce's return on vocals (year 2000). more
Afterhours -Hai paura del buio?
In my opinion, the best work by Afterhours, along with the latest album Padania. Definitely a must-have for those who love a somewhat unique and alternative rock. P.S. I adore Afterhours. more
Bruce Springsteen -18 Tracks
Honest collection of B-sides, and some rearrangements of more famous tracks (e.g. acoustic version of Born in the USA). Nice collection, especially considering that I bought it for € 4.99!!!! more

It was he who made me reassess Latin music, 5 for this and for his guitar genius. more
Vinicio Capossela
I like it without too many mental gymnastics. Maybe it's because I like Waits (whom I met much earlier, rather than the other way around)? more
Vinicio Capossela
A big and super fuck of his inspirations. more
U2 -The Joshua Tree
One of the peaks of U2 (probably the highest along with the previous "The Unforgettable Fire"). From a lyrical perspective, Bono Vox is likely at his peak as an excellent lyricist, blending social, religious, and spiritual themes. The band traverses a wide range of genres, from folk to blues to country, without neglecting some experiments that evoke a certain paranoid New Wave (the gems are "Exit" and "Bullet the Blue Sky"). more
