Shirley Horn

Shirley Horn (1934–2005) was an American jazz singer and pianist renowned for intimate, slow-tempo phrasing and nuanced piano touch. Mentored early by Miles Davis, she paused performing to focus on family, then returned to broad acclaim in the 1980s. She won a Grammy for I Remember Miles.
