Kirk: "Why don’t the Enterprise's transporters work, Mr. Scott?".
Scott: "Oh, a small problem, but only temporary. Admiral, we have just completed 18 months of refitting and tuning the Enterprise.
For heaven's sake, how can they expect it to be ready in 12 hours?".
Kirk: "Beam me aboard, please".
Excerpt from Star Trek: The Motion Pictures.
The volume is an exhaustive guide on the Enterprise, with material also drawn from Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Famous spaceship, protagonist of countless adventures and battles in unexplored space.
Mr. Scott: "Welcome aboard!".
On April 7, 2212 (star date 7523.2), the Enterprise returns to Earth's orbit after its five-year mission to be completely renewed.
It was Chief Engineer Scott who proposed installing new warp engines, named FWG-1.
The new engines increased power by 33%.
The external navigation deflector was also replaced with a significantly more advanced unit, as was the defense system.
Following these modifications, the onboard computer was updated with the M-6 logic unit, physically connected to the command bridge.
The power of the onboard weapons was increased and expanded in uses: tight or wide-beam, steady-stream, or pulse energy.
The guide contains an impressive amount of graphic, planimetric, photographic cards, and much more.
I will mention only a minimal part.
