I saw there's already a review of this CD, but I wanted to do it a bit better... don't shoot me
The Agoraphobic Nosebleed is a cybergrind band (grindcore with drum machines and samples), for those who don't know, it's similar to grind, although much more splatter and claustrophobic, it originated in Massachusetts in 1994. The lineup has changed many times; the only constant member is Scott Hull, who is also the guitarist for the brutal death/grind band Pig Destroyer. This CD contains 100 songs in about 20 minutes. The characteristic of this CD is its very destructive nature, ranging from furious guitar riffs to moments of pure madness reaching the limits of cacophony. The fun thing about this CD, besides being a crazy piece, is that it openly talks about drugs in all senses (mescaline, LSD, etc.), sex (Sodom, homosexuals, etc...), and also makes references to the Japanese cult Aum Shinrikyo with not-so-veiled references to the terrorist attack on the Tokyo metro on March 20, 1995 (Tokyo Subway Gassing), religion (Star of David, Latter Day Mormon Ritual), and even references to Stanley Kubrick's Clockwork Orange (Osaka Milk Bar), the UN, and even against Black Metal (Black Metal Transvestite), and naturally the U.S. politics (Relapse Refusing U.N. Weapons Inspectors and also the CD's title ALTERNATIVE STATES OF AMERICA) and references to Star Wars (Obi Wan Kaczynski) as well as to Anthrax (Spreading the Dis-Ease) and the fairy tale of Alice in Wonderland (!). This CD can therefore be considered a fun and claustrophobic critique of society in all its facets, whether you like it or not.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed are an American grindcore/cybergrind band formed in 1994, led by guitarist/producer Scott Hull. Known for replacing a live drummer with a drum machine at punishing speeds, they have released key works on Relapse Records including Honky Reduction, Frozen Corpse Stuffed With Dope, Altered States of America, and Agorapocalypse, and later explored doom/sludge on the EP Arc.
