Racer X are an American heavy/speed metal band formed in Los Angeles. Featuring Paul Gilbert, Jeff Martin, John (Juan) Alderete, and Scott Travis, the group became known for high-speed, virtuoso playing and tight songwriting. After an initial 80s run, they reunited to release Technical Difficulties and Superheroes before issuing Getting Heavier.
