Radiohead - Everything In Its Right Place [HQ]

This album was highly anticipated; after the success of OK Computer, it could elevate Radiohead into the Olympus of the best bands of the turn of the century. That was the enigma. Would they be able to meet their fans' expectations?

I remember it was pouring rain, and I was walking quickly under the umbrella to buy it.

Even the packaging seemed perfect, but I didn’t want to hear anything from those who had already bought it.

Ripping the plastic with my nails and starting the first track, everything began to make sense! Every sound, every note, every word was truly “Everything at its right place.”

Those sounds poured from my stereo, creating magic. They had done it. They were one of the best bands of the turn of the century.

One day Mr_iko, a "veteran" and super fun listener, said that if Kid A and the subsequent Amnesiac had been a single album, we would be facing one of the greatest masterpieces in the history of music. Perhaps, who knows.

Every autumn and spring, when my colleague and I would go to Pitti, we would embark on this psychophysical journey album.

I'm not here, this is not happening!

Tipinifini - Talk About (Extended).1985 here’s something to post quietly, softly, and provocatively... it starts at 0'18", 7 years before Nirvana, a bass line with a similar musical key to the bass in Smells Like Teen Spirit... BUT DON’T DARE TO POINT IT OUT! It’s impossible, Nirvana copying, or coming after, Tipinifini in one of their fillers too!? Okay, they’re not the exact same notes 100%, a bassist told me that, but he confirmed that the key is the same, and even less easy to play... I’m one of those who equate "involuntary plagiarism (or pseudo such)" with voluntary plagiarism. It means that even in good faith, you’re always arriving after the original. Therefore, the late Michael Jackson still came after Al Bano, who cares if he had never heard him, the idea is the same...

Listening to them again after a lifetime and broadening the old tunes, these Nobili Falsissimi Veterani are truly a pleasant surprise. Defined as psychedelic, also tucked away by the Reverend in the garage drawer. Here you'll find, and well done, a bit of everything. Garage, psychedelia, beat, Velvet-like stuff, Blues, dark pieces as well as some country or folk reminiscent of Nello or the less tedious Dylan... Good stuff, can't complain.

TOOL - The Patient (Audio)

The first thing I do in the morning and the last at night is listen to music. I discovered Tool as a young mom, 30 years old! I didn’t love the "genre" at first, but then I listened to this album and it got under my skin.

Another passion of mine that came late is cooking.

I cooked a lot with Lateralus playing, when friends were coming over for lunch; the contrast was wonderful, like chocolate and lemon ice cream. It was especially fun when my ex would walk into what was, at that moment, my creative and auditory kingdom. He would laugh... laugh at my contrasts and my dichotomies like no one ever has since.

TOOL - Schism

When Schism came on, the sauté was ready to welcome the meat for the ragù, so I could focus on the appetizers, because the braised meat and mashed potatoes were cooking.

The most delicate part was to gently reheat the shortcrust pastry that had rested in the fridge for the tart with cream (already prepared in the morning).

Around one o'clock, I reluctantly turned off the stereo, the equipment and appetizers ready. Friends trickled in with bottles of Cà del Bosco (my favorite Franciacorta).

When I had a big house, many would come over, the house was filled with our kids, who grew up together and are now friends themselves.
