impossible to say who the best soul singer is, she is one of the best Keep me hangin on - Ann Peebles

Today I'm getting ahead with my work, and despite the hour, I'm posting about tomorrow; discussing the film “Overboard” this time is just an excuse for me since it features the beloved music of Randy Newman; but, since we are on a deserted island, who among us guys wouldn’t want to be the protagonist, dealing with the beautiful and charming Goldie Hawn, when in 1987 she was 42 years old, who, shipwrecked after a maritime disaster, unfortunately for her, finds herself without memory, tormented by our lies as a fake husband, the heavy family dynamics, and the mischief of our children?

Something Special by Randy Newman

We all more or less try to escape from something, and in our case, let's imagine taking refuge on a deserted island where we can evade the reality of everyday life and let everything go. We perhaps resemble that good but somewhat rebellious boy from “Into the Wild” by Sean Penn, who, after graduating, instead of starting a promising career, gives everything away, abandons friends and family, and prefers to flee from the family routine and suffocating consumerism, crossing America in search of the wilder nature, until he reaches the boundless Alaska, the perfect ideal of freedom.

I would definitely bring my favorite drug: Morphine - Good (Full Album)

What would I take with me to a deserted island? Surely the dream of "A Perfect World,"

the desire for redemption and a better life, just like in the 1993 film by Clint Eastwood, starring Kevin Costner, which tells the story of an inmate who becomes a perfect father to a fatherless boy, seeing his escape as the opportunity of a lifetime, towards "A Perfect World."

My Title Sequence to "A Perfect World"

Le Orme - 1971 Collage - 05 Evasione totale The masterpiece remains "Suspended in the Incredible," and there’s no doubt about it. However, the early period of Le Orme is often summarized as an Italian copy of EL&P. Here, if you want to change your mind, they deliver an instrumental of high levels, enriched by the effects of Tagliapietra.

All the strips of Sturmtruppen, of course... - Sturmtruppen - Gli intrepiden esploratoren!

I consider them as representatives of the psychedelic garage groups: The Chocolate Watchband, The Blues Magoos, The Monks, Kenny & The Kasuals, and The Sonics, who deserve a special mention. I will include them shortly at THE COUNT FIVE-'PSYCHOTIC REACTION',(1966).wmv

More than a deserted island that drives me crazy and is hot, I’d prefer a nice mountain cabin with the first useless thing miles away, a lovely fireplace, plenty of books and records, and some hot girls (curvy, nice tits and ass, friendly and cute faces) who come to visit you only when you call and leave without being a bother... a few true friends every now and then, but also in small doses... misanthropy... but I love you all even if the anarchic nobility can't take it anymore...

If we are talking about the movies to bring with us to a hypothetical deserted island, I would choose this one first, for what it represented in those years; one of the absolute classics of the road movie genre, a film that symbolizes the hippie culture of the 1960s, representing a lifestyle and Music in absolute terms.

Steppenwolf - Born To Be Wild

Yes - Close To The Edge But are we leaving this at home??

Among the many beautiful songs by Petty, I choose this one Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers - I Won't Back Down

But did we find the island? Edoardo Bennato - L'isola che non c'è

Environmental documentary to watch even on the island. If nothing else, to not forget that this island is nothing more than what remains of the hill where I lived before there was the flooding due to global warming. The 11Th Hour - L'undicesima ora

Isn't life enough for you? It's the perfect island! No, if I have to imagine, at least let my imagination run free and I don’t want the solitary island. At most, let me have Friday. (I'm drunk, but as the Latins used to say, in vino veritas.)

But why should I stay on a desert island? Damn pessimism, let's do "If I Became a Billionaire," at least it's more positive, maybe less poetic, but if I have to imagine, I’d rather envision something magnificent. Enough with the lonely islands, which rich people buy to brag about what they’d bring to their island.
