Ladies and gentlemen, I am quite proud to present the ranking of Ivan Graziani's albums from worst to best. Let’s dive right in:

13th: PIKNIC
After participating in Sanremo 1985 with the melodically good Franca ti amo, Ivan released this work, which unfortunately, or fortunately, can be found in the depths of this ranking. Unfortunately, because it is an album that partially recovers the pyrotechnic verve that had been starting to fade in recent years, featuring some tracks that recall certain past moments (Zio gorilla and Rosanna non sei tu) and others with excellently constructed bases that also blend Ivan's majestic guitar (Ed è felicità and La mia isola, the latter accompanied by a great and compelling arpeggio). Fortunately, because upon listening, it is clear that this is an album put together to adhere to a contract, especially for certain songs written just to make numbers, such as the syrupy and banal Soffice or the terrifying Ho paura dei temporali. In Piknic, then, we find the greatest drop in style that Ivan has ever had in his entire career, namely Baby love, which can be found in position number 9 of the tracklist: a plastic and irritating pop arrangement accompanies an adolescent, banal, and pointless text (comparisons to Pupo will come later; too many have already compared it to the pen of the Pupone). A very easy piece, which will not surprisingly be chosen as the single to promote the album. An album that has some nice ideas but also a lot of stuff thrown in just to comply with the record label’s order, representing the lowest point of the national guitarist.

The gem: La mia isola

@[Dislocation] PRESENTS:
Coda to...
"THE NAILS ON THE BLACKBOARD"
In a nutshell, the ten catchy tunes of all time that have scraped the uncle Dislo’s undercarriage... (Off-Competition Track For
Manifest Superiority Grattascrotesca)

Did you think it was over last night, right? Did you think the last heave was the one released before dinner, right?
Well no... You still need to digest the lukewarm breakfast you subjected your lovely little person to, as uncle Dislo promptly presents you with the final track of his personal ranking of annoying hits, an out-of-competition track that alone beats all the other ten of this stinking itpareeiidd...

I want you all fired up...

Romina Power - Il Ballo Del Qua Qua

In the spring of 1979, BBR (Bassa Bresciana Radio), a truly free radio station, or almost, between one Faust'o track and another, had the exclusive (at least that's what the various DJs claimed) promo disc of what would become the summer hit of '79. Let’s just say it polished my maròni a month before its official release since they played it for us at least 6 times a day for a month. 'Tales From Monographic Oceans': a spontaneous journey through a stretch of sea, cutting across the isthmuses of some discographies (Pub-Rock 29, 5)
'Give me a pint of draught, give me some rock'n'roll': for a (brief) recap of a genre/non-genre that encapsulates everything we want from rock'n'roll. Thirst, sweat, and no tears, just fun: because the workday has been tough

Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein
Edgar, why didn’t you do three or four more punches like Frankenstein instead of boogie rock?! Perfect studio version but colossal live 💣

#bestyear Appendix 2 - Gilroy Mere
from the magnificent LP "Adlestrop"

Mini Trees - Slip Away (Official Music Video)

How can this record be so melancholic and carefree at the same time?

The poetic penguin café (1.9)

The coins, the stick, the keychain,
the ready lock, the late notes
that my meager days will never read,
the playing cards and the chessboard,
a book and among its pages wilted
the violet, a monument of one evening
certainly unforgettable and forgotten,
the red mirror to the west in which burns
illusory an aurora. How many things,
atlases, files, thresholds, goblets, nails,
serve us as silent slaves,
without gaze, strangely secret!
They will last longer than our oblivion;
they will never know that we have gone.
