From the comments: "absolute genius," "let him continue," "his genius is on another level"... but am I the only one who, just from the introduction, feels like bringing down all the saints from the calendar?

@[G] I can't seem to write a review. Here's what happens: I check the box that says I understand everything there is to know about it, I move on to the next page, and when I type in the name of the band, specifically the SUMAC, the search starts but debaser can't find the band, even though I've already written three reviews for SUMAC. I've tried not only on the computer but also on the tablet and the phone, and the same thing happens. The connection seems fine; I really think it's a problem with our site. Greetings from a chilly but sunny Ossola.

Appendix to yesterday's "Baroque Monday": "Flow my tears," the aria from which the variations of "Lachrimae or Seaven Teares" are derived.

Dowland - Flow My Tears

Text:
Flow, my tears, fall from your springs!
Exiled for ever, let me mourn;
Where night's black bird her sad infamy sings,
There let me live forlorn.
Down vain lights, shine you no more!
No nights are dark enough for those
That in despair their lost fortunes deplore.
Light doth but shame disclose.
Never may my woes be relieved,
Since pity is fled;
And tears and sighs and groans my weary days
Of all joys have deprived.
From the highest spire of contentment
My fortune is thrown;
And fear and grief and pain for my deserts
Are my hopes, since hope is gone.
Hark! you shadows that in darkness dwell,
Learn to contemn light
Happy, happy they that in hell
Feel not the world's despite.
