We become intelligent to understand how stupid we are.

Even though they can’t be seen from afar, there are children down there, using umbrellas to make a shelter from the rain so they can keep playing in Campo San Stin in Venice.

Thanks to Alice Cice Pietrobon for the shot. #chiaroscuro

The name and identity of Banksy remain the subject of speculation. In a 2003 interview with Simon Hattenstone of The Guardian, Banksy is described as a "white" 28-year-old, dressed casually in jeans and a t-shirt, scruffy with a chain, an earring, and a tooth, all silver. Banksy was expelled from school, served time for minor offenses, and started as an artist at the age of 14. According to Hattenstone, "anonymity is vital for him because graffiti is illegal," and it is reported that Banksy has lived in Easton, Bristol since the late '90s before moving to London around 2000.

Brad Pitt stated: "He does all this and remains anonymous; I think it's amazing these days, everyone is trying to be famous but he has anonymity."

It is commonly believed that Banksy is a certain Robin Gunningham, as first identified by "The Mail on Sunday" in 2008 and born on July 28, 1973, in Yate, 12 miles (19 km) from Bristol. Many acquaintances and former schoolmates of Robin at "Bristol Cathedral School" have confirmed this. #chiaroscuro

Uzeb - Loose
...and to think that fusion and jazz rock are practically dead genres...only those who teach drumming or something similar can make a living from lessons and maybe do some crappy gigs with their band in front of 50 people. Back in the day, albums by Bruford, Holdsworth, Uzeb, Yellowjackets would come out...

Blur - Out of Time 2003: and here it is, their second phase, which opens with a bang: Out of Time is one of their most beloved classics and paves the way for an album that, once again, changes all the rules of the game. But here everything changes, much to their chagrin, more than they had anticipated: Coxon, for many reasons, it's unclear whether he is shown the door or if he slams it himself violently: perhaps both, and the sound suffers extremely as a result. To replace such a cornerstone, they, at this point three, have to add a lot, a lot of elements, and so a project that was supposed to initially take the direction of North African ethnic music (they will record in Morocco, their second album recorded away from home, after Blur’s Iceland) and dub, heavily tinges with electronics. In any case, Coxon is featured in two or three tracks on the album and some b-sides from the period because he distanced himself after some initial sessions. The result, in any case, is excellent, deeply inspired, and, once again, fundamentally experimental in many passages. Meanwhile, Coxon has released two more solo records and Albarn has hit it big with Gorillaz. A few years later, Albarn will say that there is a horrible gap in the sound of Blur and that if Coxon had not returned, Blur would not have released anything more. In 2009, the two dates at Hyde Park will mark Graham's return. #blur30

Primal Scream - TRNSMT 2021

Today, 30 years ago, this monster of an album was released. If I stepped into the world of raves and psychedelia, it's thanks to this masterpiece right here. I still remember the feeling of that first listen on cassette, lying on the bed in my room; I think I've also seen that stain on the wall.
I chose my favorite track to pay tribute to it. Take an hour to watch last week's live performance, just to see how Bob & co. are still in stunning shape. They don’t let up an inch.
