Babla and Kanchan - Aay Mere Dil WORLD'FREQUENCIES [global music dispenser, there's life beyond Italian and English] [01] I longed for a review that showcased different types of sounds and music. A while ago, the good @[Lao Tze] wonderfully contemplated this (return to us, we are orphans of your fundamental contribution). Following in the master's footsteps, today I embark on this adventure through the sound world, hoping something strikes you as it has struck me. Babla & Kanchan - Aay Mere Dil (India, 1984) Laxmichand "Babla" Virji Shah and Kumari Kanchan Dinkarrao Mali-Shah, husband and wife, were an Indian musical duo, particularly active in promoting Chutney and Desi Folk music. They performed together for forty years until Kanchan's death in 2004. Regularly featured in my world music DJ sets, I believe this song has sparked the most curiosity and inquiries about it. A tender funk line moves delightfully throughout the piece, supported by finely distilled soft pop, infused entirely with sweet aromas from the East. India had its dream pop. #worldmusic#india#coeworldmusic
