"Meddle" is one of their most important yet forgotten albums, and that’s a real shame.

The Pink Floyd recorded it after the "Atom Heart Mother" tour, just two years before "The Dark Side of the Moon."

The sound experiments, creativity, and quest for sounds found in AHM, in "Meddle," and even a bit in "Obscured by Clouds" are the foundation of the masterpiece TDSOTM, which would not have been created without them.

In music or in certain music, transitions are gradual; experimentation and creativity are factors that start from point A and take you to point B and gradually all the way to Z.

Not having listened to these earlier works is like starting halfway without having the fundamentals.

Listening to the long suite "Echoes," you realize that certain atmospheres of TDSOTM are already present here, or if you listen to "One of These Days," it doesn’t go unnoticed that certain sounds and typical atmospheres seem to be forerunners of "The Wall."

"Meddle" is an essential album if you love Pink Floyd; it remains a work of exploration, sound experiments, and avant-garde.
