Cold War is a film by director Pawel Pawlikowski (who also takes care of the story and screenplay), it’s a passionate love story between a man and a woman who meet in post-war Poland reduced to ruins.

Coming from different backgrounds and having opposing temperaments, their relationship is complicated, yet they are fatally destined to belong to each other.

In the 1950s, during the Cold War, in Poland, Berlin, Yugoslavia, and Paris, the couple separates multiple times for political reasons, personality flaws, or just unfortunate coincidences: an impossible love story in a difficult era.
