Well tuned in to #radiocapish

We are pleased to announce that “Baroque Mondays: at the court of the Capish King” returns to brighten up your week’s start. Today, we invite you to listen to the three famous suites (HMV 348-350) composed in the second decade of the 1700s by the German-born English composer Georg Friedrich Händel (1685-1759), known as “Water music,” since their first public performance took place, in the presence of King George I, on a barge on the River Thames on July 17, 1717.

Enjoy the listening.

From the opening, one notices the baroque grandeur of the composition, musical ornaments of great charm, almost making it possible to glimpse the boats parading on the Thames. Zvezdoliki
