To this day, I can say that my deserted island Waits albums are Rain Dogs, Swordfishtrombones, and Blue Valentine. But this record has a special magic, a poetry all its own that does not make it inferior at all to the three albums mentioned earlier. The analysis of the lyrics of this song by Prof. Roberto Vecchioni is very beautiful; read it if you can find it online.
