Today, I walked into a café to have a coffee and, quite unexpectedly (given the type of café that doesn't really match the kind of music...), I heard in the background Peter Murphy with the refrain… Dead Undead Dead Undead… Instantly, I start to hum along, order my coffee, and compliment the barista on the musical choice. The little man behind the counter looks at me and calmly replies, "Well, I don't listen to the radio, too many ads..." "Well, he’s not entirely wrong," I think to myself, but I can’t shake off the feeling that something is off; what are Bauhaus doing in this café?... The mystery is revealed just a few seconds later when he hands me the cup and says, "You know, I download compilations from Spotify and this is the Halloween one, but I don’t know who’s singing…" I gulp down my coffee, pay with a coin, and leave the blissfully unaware barista behind as he cheerfully waves goodbye to me… Damn Halloween! Or better, damn Aloein [as my old mother says...] #alltrue Bela Lugosi’s Dead - Bauhaus (1979) full 12" Single
