Today, in an important construction site I'm overseeing, I catch sight of modern art masterpieces (paintings packaged but recognizable) being carried by the strong arms of the builders, due to a temporary relocation. "Wait, wait a moment," I say to the crew leader, "let me see... mhh... beautiful..." The contractor asks me, "beautiful what, the painting?" "Yes!" I reply, adding, "don't you like paintings?" He looks at me with all the calm in the world, his bare arms holding up the canvas, and grinning with his head down, he explains in Bergamasque dialect, "Matia, ...the stuff I like most is chicks.
