I quite enjoyed the review of the film that appeared an hour ago here on DeB. The film was released when I was less than a year old, and frankly, I don't remember ever seeing it on TV, so either I was distracted or I suffer from amnesia. I looked up the quote about "boxeur" regarding Duke Ellington (who shares and co-signs the soundtrack with William Thomas "Billy" Strayhorn, an arranger, composer, and pianist known for his thirty-year collaboration with composer and conductor Edward Kennedy "Duke" Ellington, for whom he composed and orchestrated many of the pieces that made his orchestra famous); it comes from a beautiful song by Paolo Conte.
But we also shouldn't forget the participation of George Campbell Scott, in his second film role (as Carlo Biagio Anthony "Ben" Gazzara), for which he even received an Oscar nomination in '60 for "Best Supporting Actor." So, definitely worth watching.
