In Australian Aboriginal mythology, the Dreamtime or Dreaming is the era preceding the creation (or formation) of the world.
In the Dreamtime, the world already existed, but it was "undifferentiated."
Certain places, created by events of particular significance (such as fights, deaths, or other dramatic occurrences), hold a special power, referred to by Aboriginal people as the "dream" of the place.
