From a perfect album, a piece that is even moving for its verve and execution. Everyone shines, Winwood on the Hammond singing at his best, as usual, Wood on sax and flute, always incisive and perfect, Capaldi essential and precise. "Freedom Rider" connects to Glad and highlights Winwood's golden moment, who had conceived "John Barleycorn" as a solo album, only to revert to the Traffic brand that had already brought him (us) so much joy.
