Led Zeppelin - Immigrant Song (Live Video) ... Here comes Led Zeppelin III. On April 18, 1970, in Phoenix, the LZ wrap up their fifth U.S. tour. The schedule has been grueling but it has paid off; LZ II is a massive success and the band's fame grows exponentially, for better and for worse... Fans adore them because they find them unique and irresistible, but the press slams them for their excesses. They can't escape the labels; someone brands them as heavy metal, provoking Page's ire. It was time to prove to those who see them as nothing more than cynical, vulgar rockers that the LZ are not just a riff-shooting machine but a band capable of showcasing a complete musical range. Exhausted, the guys split up; Jones and Bonham return to their beloved families while Page and Plant, fired up and urged on by Atlantic to produce a new album, head to a simple hermitage in a remote location in Snowdonia, the region in northeast Wales, to a cottage called Bron-Yr-Au.
