Al Green

Al Green (born 1946, Arkansas) is an American soul singer, songwriter, and pastor. Rising in the early 1970s on Hi Records with producer Willie Mitchell, he became a defining voice of soul with hits like Let's Stay Together, Tired of Being Alone, Love and Happiness, I'm Still in Love With You, and Take Me to the River. Ordained in the mid-1970s, he focused on gospel before returning to secular releases with I Can't Stop (2003).
