Alvin Lee

Alvin Lee (born Graham Anthony Barnes, 19 December 1944, Nottingham, England; died 6 March 2013) was the British guitarist and singer of Ten Years After. He rose to global fame with the high-velocity Woodstock 1969 performance of I’m Going Home, then pursued a prolific solo career, from On the Road to Freedom (with guests Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, Ron Wood, and George Harrison) to Alvin Lee in Tennessee (produced by Scotty Moore). He also led Ten Years Later in the late 1970s.
