Metric is a Canadian indie rock band formed in 1998, led by Emily Haines (vocals/keys) and James Shaw (guitar).

Core members publicly known include Emily Haines and James Shaw; long-term members have included Joshua Winstead (bass) and Joules Scott-Key (drums). Metric have released multiple studio albums and are commonly described as blending indie rock, new wave and electronic elements.

They have lowered the tone of the electric guitars, increased the use of synths, and now here is an album that we can without problems place alongside the early works of Garbage (the better ones, therefore).
