In 2001, Hyper Utesov Presents was released, a compilation that isn't really a compilation. In fact, it is an album that was supposed to come out under the name of Messer für Frau Müller (with the title Hyper Utesov) but saw the light with the collaboration of other names from the Russian electronic scene. In reality, there’s little outside contribution: we have Plus-Tech Squeezebox who signed 2 tracks, Mini Bikini 3, and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang just one (none of these songs, by the way, is notable). The remaining 13 tracks are divided among Messer für Frau Müller, Messer Chups (a side-project of Messer für Frau Müller with more surf influences), and solo compositions by Oleg Kostrov (one of the two Messers).

The album is undoubtedly the lightest, most carefree, and irreverent they have composed, but it is no less brilliant than its two predecessors.
Here, even more, is the parody of Soviet tunes, endlessly affected and with lyrics as profound as a worn doormat. The emblem of this amused and desecrating revision are 2x2=5 and the swing of Notte Incantevole (both signed by the Messer duo: Kostrov and Ghitarkin).

The best episodes are the shaken lounge of Isola della Fortuna (signed by the duo), "Penultimo Pollice" (Messer Chups) which I would define as horror-surf but above all the solo compositions of Kostrov who steps up and delivers 3 great tracks: Canzoncina di Khottabych where oriental sounds intermingle with shouts, screams, sneezes, everything and more; Uomini, AU! a post-atomic tarantella bursting with laughter complete with scratches and finally perhaps the most beautiful piece: the romantic swing of Svetlana Svetlichnaya-in persona...

This was the golden era of Messer für Frau Müller. Their popularity began to grow with the spread of the internet and Myspace, they would go on tour in Europe, their music would be broadcast on the radio and on the new Russian MTV, and it was even used in some commercials from which they took many samples to not take themselves too seriously.
