so this is a strange album for manowar
the first part consists only of a fast song, while the second is a real punch in the stomach of pure black. the initial songs are very beautiful, even though they are slow compared to those of the second part. the only fast one is call of arms, and then follows fight for freedom, which is slow, followed by nessun dorme performed at gods of metal in 1999, then comes 34 seconds of pure Viking chorus here then.
from the next one, even though two songs are real punches, the lyrics are black. sword of wing talks about Norse mythology and the concept of death. now, I would like to talk about the second part of the album, which breathes pure black from the titletrack, where the leading part is played by scoot columbus. the last three songs are fired from start to finish, pure hits like house of death.
in conclusion, I wanted to say that this album is a bit strange. the first part is slow, except for the opener call of arms, while the second isa real punch in the stomach of pure black metal and a real fury that never stops, breaking the stomach and the neck with so much headbanging.
rating 9.5/10
This is the only album I appreciate from this American band with over 20 years of career behind them.
An album of pure epic metal, 11 tracks, for a total of 46min and 37sec.
‘The title track is instead monumental, one of the best Manowar songs ever with sacred monsters like ‘Hail and Kill’ or ‘Brothers of Metal.’”
“There are still people who, having read two random lyrics, will forever brand Manowar as failures or at best, inflated.”
Warriors Of The World represents the definitive rebirth of Manowar.
Swords In The Wind is poignant, magical, epic, combative, and solemn.
