Regarding faith, Leonard Cohen said, "I know there's an eye that’s watching us all." (Uh, he certainly didn't mean just any Polyphemus...)

He also said other emblematic phrases like:

“There is no cure for love, but it is the only medicine for all ills.”

“I don’t consider myself a pessimist; I think a pessimist is someone who expects it to rain, whereas I already feel soaked to the bone.”

#chiaroscuro from "Bird on the wire":
Like a bird on a wire
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free.

Leonard Norman Cohen, at 82, already suffering for a long time from acute myeloblastic leukemia and heart problems, fell one night down the stairs of his home, resulting in an internal hemorrhage that complicated his health and led him to the afterlife and nothing...

Within the universe of Aykut Aydogdu, ehm, when art transforms into "poetry"...

Five years ago, Buddy told us online: Aykut Aydogdu is a Turkish-born artist and graphic designer who developed a passion for illustration from a young age.

His digital artworks mainly feature female portraits that are dark, sensual, and dreamlike.

Each piece, provocative and unsettling, seems to dig deep into the psyche.

Every portrait is built on details and appears to conceal symbolism and metaphorical elements.

Everything seems to tell a story of obsessive loves and deep mysteries.

And nothing, but if Buddy says so...

Fabrizio de André - Oceano

But in the end, what do we really know about the hows and whys, and so on?

Not much, but sometimes something comes to light, like this story about two songs:

"Once I had listened to a song in a nightclub that stuck in my head, I liked it so much, and it was 'Alice' by Francesco De Gregori. At the same time, a question had stuck in my head: why does Alice look at the cats and not at that lamppost over there, or any other thing, a rock rather than a bush, a tree? I wanted to ask her, but I didn't know how, I didn't know her and I had this question for her...
The following summer, I discover that she is starting to work with my father on an album called 'Volume Ottavo.' Can you imagine, I went crazy—I went to Sardinia and found her there, at home. In pajamas. Working with my father, sitting on my couch, with a guitar, young, with a red beard, a bit of a hippie [...]. So I gather my courage and go to her. This is Fabrizio's son, Cristiano; nice to meet you, Francesco. I start off slowly, then gradually I convince myself and one day: 'Francesco, why does Alice look at the cats?'
He looks at me with one eye open and the other closed... He doesn’t respond. And he never answered me. Actually, he did answer me, but in a rather unusual way: he wrote a song, with my father. It's called 'Oceano,' and I must say that I am proud of this song because it was dedicated to me. It's the answer to why Alice looks at the cats. After that, I never dared to ask him such questions again."

From an interview with Cristiano De André from 1995.

And as the esteemed Swiss-French architect, urban planner, painter, and designer Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris, better known as Le Corbusier, once said: "Every morning I wake up in the guise of an imbecile, and I spend the whole day trying to get out of it."

What do I think about when I think of nothing at all...

#chiaroscuro the drawing isn’t mine (it’s by Mark Beachum) but it conveys the idea quite well.

Fabrizio De André - Amico fragile (Live)

It’s a mystery that I discovered De André so late, (Battiato aside) I was only listening to English indie music from Velvet in Rimini or occupied social centers.

None of this matters, since now I can get to know him more and more every day with you.

The turning point was that box set of "in direzione ostinata e contraria" with a triple CD that contributed to my initiation.
Actually, to be honest, it was also "Crueza de Ma" sung by Cristiano in an episode of "Che tempo che fa". Then it was love!

As I’ve already written, De André enjoyed creating songs like puzzles to be understood, studied, and translated like "La domenica delle Salme".

The podcast talks about Hotel Supramonte! About the kidnapping of De André and Ghezzi. And I’ve just added another piece to the puzzle or riddle that the music of this singer-songwriter represents, right now as I am writing to you.

The enigma, in the winning combination itself!

Enigma - Sadeness (Full Version)

Stanlio, come on, let's have a race. They were called Enigma, and I liked them too.

After listening to the podcast, we understand why I chose to include Personal Jesus. The enigma is how Dave Gahan has survived so many times. The beauty is that now, with this piece, he urges others to seek help and have faith.

Reach out touch faith in concert becomes
REACH OUT TOUCH DAVE as if he were a miracle survivor, an oracle, or simply a man with charm and charisma to spare.

PS. I wanted to add a few words about the live show seen at the Olimpico, but unfortunately, the user Algol would be annoyed along with other supposed "intolerant" people who are not manifest. I self-censor, but only for today, of course, even though some would have liked to know more about the Depeche Live. These are the people who dampen the site, not the Fake-Trolls and all the other nonsense I've read these days (Nes excluded).

Track #30 | The Afghan Whigs
The Afghan Whigs: Debonair

Great record! Thanks to Rivo for dedicating it to me and recommending it.

Ps: The riddle is, who was Tsunami

Placebo feat. David Bowie - Without you i'm nothing.
Placebo - Without You I'm Nothing (Ft. David Bowie)

Today everything feels so normal, you can't even freely suffer anymore, miss a marriage that ended, the end of a partnership, of an endless complicity. I don’t care because today I am hurting.

I’ll also explain the enigma of the piece I chose.
Without you I'm nothing, that’s what I feel today, then tomorrow I'll feel better but right now Without him I'm nothing.

This is not an ordinary day for me; at this hour in 1998 I was getting ready to walk down the aisle. I was only twenty-six! But HE was my HE from the first moment we met.

This is life for me, sometimes the past comes back, then you suffer or rejoice "in the here and now" and tomorrow you get back on track.

Then in the end, there's David Bowie and there's Placebo together! David in recent years enjoyed "pairing up" with new bands. Placebo, Arcade Fire... he, a connoisseur and hedonistic genius.
