The Vicious White Kids - Live At The Electric Ballroom

Nancy was born in Philadelphia (in Greek it means "brotherly love") in the States (in my same year but ten months earlier) to a Jewish family.

At just three months old, her pediatrician prescribed her sedatives for restlessness.

Deborah Spungen (her mother) recounted that Nancy at that time "did nothing but scream!"

By the age of five, she possessed an intelligence quotient above the average of her peers.

At eleven, she was expelled from school for being deemed "hyperactive" despite being considered a bright girl.

At fourteen, she attempted to take her own life with a pair of scissors, cutting her wrists, and was taken to psychotherapy sessions.

At fifteen, she was diagnosed with a form of schizophrenia by her psychiatrist.

After graduating, at sixteen she attended the University of Colorado for a while.

At seventeen, after running away from home, she began working as a stripper in New York to make a living and there she met the stars of the music scene like the New York Dolls, Aerosmith, and the Ramones.

At eighteen, she followed the drummer of the NYD to London, where she met the Sex Pistols, initially drawn to John Joseph Lydon aka Johnny Rotten who (not at all interested) dumped her for Sid Vicious with whom she started a relationship, becoming an inseparable couple.

In '78, back in the States, she briefly became a backup singer for "The Vicious White Kids," the new band formed by Sid after the Sex Pistols had disbanded.

She was just twenty years old when in the fall of that '78 she was found dead under the sink in a room at the Chelsea Hotel, stabbed in the abdomen with the same knife she had given to Sid the day before; he was the one who called the police, who found his fingerprints on the weapon.

Four months later, Sid died from a heroin overdose, he was only 21 years old.

@G how come, despite having blocked that fool Wags days ago, he can still comment on my profile?

I apologize to everyone and especially to @[G], as well as @withor and anyone who found themselves this morning reading the childish comments from the trolls/fakes "luiz" & "Bonzo70." Starting from the listening of withor Satan Is Real ...Satana ti guarda! on November 10, '24, they had fun writing sentences and nonsense directed at me. I naively tried to respond, but since it was of no use, I decided not to comment any further. So if you receive inappropriate comments from them on your profiles, you already know why.

Hello everyone and enjoy your time on the site.

@[luiz] to respond to you on your profile page regarding this morning's greetings (since you've blocked me, I'm doing it here instead):
Ahhahhahhahhaha! It's so funny, they give degrees to everyone, even to "Trota," Bossi's son, they gave him one, you just have to go somewhere like Albania and pay... but who is this Cassano Antonio, a fellow student of yours? La laurea di Renzo Bossi

Who? I don't understand these graduate terms, explain them better if you can... otherwise, just stay quiet, you'll make a better impression. Renzo Bossi canta «Laurea non c'è» - Un giorno da pecora

In any case, I've never met any normal people, but if you know anyone, let me know, okay?

I love stories about human beings. Since everywhere I read only things about disqualifications and chromosomes, let me say a couple of words about the case of Imane Khelif. She was born in Tiaret and plays football, considered unsuitable for girls. Boys sometimes beat her up, and at 16, she develops a passion for boxing. But it’s not simple. The gym is 10 km away, her father is a welder in the Sahara and doesn’t agree with his daughter practicing a "man's sport". The family struggles to find money for the bus that takes her to the gym, so to raise funds, Imane sells pieces of metal and her mother sells couscous. After 3 years, at 19, Imane ranks 17th at the world championships; at 18, she is 33rd at the world level. At the Tokyo Olympics, she is eliminated in the quarter-finals fairly decisively. In 2022, she loses the final for the IBA World Title to the Irish Broadhurst, where they let her fight, unlike the year after, when the same IBA federation excludes her due to the well-known issue related to her sexual characteristics, without formally clarifying the reasons for privacy reasons. In 2022, she wins the Mediterranean Games and the African amateur championship, and in 2023, she wins the Arab Games. 51 matches, 42 won, 9 lost. In 2024, the IOC admits her to the Olympics, considering that she meets the eligibility criteria. "I started with nothing and now I have everything," Imane says in an interview with UNICEF. "Both my parents come to support me. They are my biggest fans." Imane has been active on the issue of overweight, which is significant in Algeria (22% overall, 12% among children, placing the country among the worst 20 in the world). "Many parents are unaware of the benefits of sports and how it can improve not only physical fitness but also mental well-being." For her story and her interest in sports for children, UNICEF chose her as its ambassador. "I am deeply honored to be an ambassador for UNICEF. My message to young people is to follow their dreams. Don’t let obstacles get in your way; resist any obstacle and overcome them. My dream is to win a gold medal. If I win, mothers and fathers can see how far their children can go. I want to inspire girls and kids who are disadvantaged in Algeria." Defending Khelif against accusations regarding her sexuality, in a strange, unpredictable short-circuit, has been the very Olympic committee of Algeria (where homosexual acts can lead to up to 2 years of imprisonment) which has labeled the accusations "against our champion" as unethical attacks and unfounded propaganda. If she wins an Olympic gold, it would be the first in Algeria's history. Regardless of how it goes, and despite everything, Khelif has (re)positioned Algeria on the sports map.
