Alright, I'll go first. Album from 1996. Label Flowershop Recordings based in London and founded by former God Machine member Robin Proper Sheppard. On one of my trips to London, I searched in vain for its headquarters.. Indie noise rock that's skewed, oblique, tight, flirting with Sonic Youth and Fugazi. Math rock? Post-hardcore? Who knows, .. I like everything about this album, cover included (for professional reasons). Enjoy listening Elevate - The Architect

Tomorrow we start again, who wants to kick things off?
And then there's a problem to solve regarding the definition of "known" artist versus "unknown".
When I thought about this group, I started from the assumption of proposing stuff that wasn’t reviewed on debaser. For me, 24 Grana, just to make an example, are very well-known and belong in the home listens, not here. I don’t know if I'm making myself clear.

Dear all, shall we try to revive this group??? This time with a few simple rules (if you all agree):
- 2 listens per week, so we have time to actually listen to them and, most importantly, we’re not bombarded with notifications;
- we propose unknown bands/singer-songwriters from the '90s and 2000s as well as the latest releases from well-known bands.
What do my co-admins @[MikiNigagi] and @viceroy think? And everyone else?
If we all agree, I’d say let’s post the first listen on Monday.

I agree with you on limiting proposals to a certain number per week; this would allow for better feedback and those proposing would be happier about it, not to mention that in this way, different listens avoid getting lost along the way. We should therefore establish who and how many. As for the nature of the proposals, I think it would be better to post recent things, at least from this decade, or if we must, we could include stuff released from 2000 onwards. However, it is true that some rather interesting things outside of the quota have also been proposed, like the Red Stars Theory. Do you have any ideas on how to regulate the flow of proposals in this group?

Friends, as the title of a not-so-great album by the Get Up Kids goes: There Are Rules. And since we don't have enough of those here, I'm proposing a couple that might be essential: AT MOST ONE PROPOSAL A DAY because why not.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU SUGGEST STUFF NOT JUST FROM THIS YEAR, BUT AT LEAST FROM THE LAST TWO/THREE YEARS OR SOMETHING OBSCURE A BIT FROM THE PROVINCE OF THE EMPIRE, also because why not.
