The little mermaid 1960 Rusalochka English & Español subs Russian animation Definitely kicking Disney's movie in the ass: done. Perhaps the best adaptation of Andersen's fairy tale, less empathetic than the beautiful anime but visually sublime in its stylization.

Big Fish & Begonia [Coming Soon] - Official Trailer [English Language] (HD) A box office hit from China that will arrive here in June, I don’t know, I can’t quite form an opinion: it looks appealing and interesting with some definitely well-framed shots, but I’m too afraid of the Ghibli surrogate effect (starting from the character design), like the new film by Yonebayashi, the more neutral it stays, the better, in my opinion we’ll see.
