He was one of the greatest American singer-songwriters of his time. His career, from his beginnings with the Byrds to "No Other," with a fruitful collaboration with Doug Dillard in between, was nothing short of superb. The commercial failure of the aforementioned "No Other" sparked a decline that, however, never resulted in anything less than decent records. Ultimately, Clark was an extraordinary songwriter who deserves greater rediscovery today.
