Fabrizio De André

A poet, even though he wouldn't have liked this definition. For me, he is (was) the greatest Italian singer-songwriter. In terms of lyrics, he has maintained the highest standards throughout his career. The music might have been a bit sparse at first, but later on it certainly wasn’t anymore, thanks to the contributions of exceptional collaborators he knew how to choose well: Bubola, Piovani, PFM, Pagani, Fossati, etc. Rest in peace, Faber.
