Johannes Brahms

Johannes Brahms (1833–1897) was a German composer and pianist of the Romantic era. Based largely in Vienna, he wrote four symphonies, concertos, chamber music, piano works, and the choral masterpiece Ein deutsches Requiem. Admired for fusing classical forms with Romantic expression, he was closely associated with Robert and Clara Schumann.
