Live are an American alternative rock band from York, Pennsylvania, formed in the mid-1980s as Public Affection. They rose to prominence in the 1990s with the spiritually tinged, radio-dominating Throwing Copper and singles like Lightning Crashes, I Alone and All Over You. Formed as Public Affection in York, Pennsylvania; classic lineup: Ed Kowalczyk (vocals), Chad Taylor (guitar), Patrick Dahlheimer (bass), Chad Gracey (drums). Breakthrough with Throwing Copper (1994) and singles such as Lightning Crashes, I Alone, All Over You and Selling the Drama. Kowalczyk departed in 2009 and rejoined in 2016.
