Knife Party is an Australian electronic music duo formed in 2011 by Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen, known for electro house and dubstep releases.

Formed as a side project by members of Pendulum, Knife Party became known for high-energy electro house and dubstep tracks such as "Internet Friends", "Bonfire" and "Centipede".

DeBaser hosts two reviews of Knife Party's early EPs. One review criticizes Rage Valley for predictability; another praises Haunted House for taking risks with tracks like LRAD and EDM Death Machine. Overall reception in these reviews is mixed.

For:EDM listeners, electronic music fans, Knife Party followers, readers of music criticism

Except for "Bonfire" (which at least is galvanizing), what remains is a cocktail of sounds that have gone from predictable to tedious, a song structure irritating in its predictability, zero flair, zero fun.

"LRAD" and "EDM Death Machine" manage to bring what Knife Party had been lacking so far, namely the desire to "dare": if both sound unmistakably "KP", the first surprises the listener* with an "elegant" drop of only low tones while the second indulges in the luxury of experimenting with an unusual song form**.
