Liesje Sadonius, the first official voice of the Hoover.
The trip hop and its atmospheres spread throughout Europe during the second half of the '90s, and from Belgium, someone throws a stone. Frank Duchene and Alex Callier take care of the electronic fabric, while the guitar that hops between one beat and the next is entrusted to Raymond Geerts.
The specter of dream pop from a few years earlier demands tribute throughout the album, especially in episodes like Someone. The more rock but at the same time seductive soul of Nr.9 creates the plurality that does not spoil, despite in subsequent years the band will prefer a more orchestral approach.
The launch maxi single in the market and in the soundtrack of Stealing Beauty is 2Wicky; it advances slowly just like Sarangi despite the marked extra gear that belongs to Barabas with the omnipresent bass supporting the atmosphere.
The radical changes for the Hoover occur at the beginning of their career, with the name change to avoid legal actions from other artists, with the departure of Duchene and the same voice so fundamental. The desire not to overdo and not to leave their own land to face the tour in America will ensure the scepter passes to the much more known Geike.
But the album possesses enough sonic impact to be numbered among the best productions of that decade, without a doubt.
