LA RECENSIONE

Pleasant things.

Leaving home in a rush and getting stuck behind the recycling truck for the eeeentire street, while curses saturate the car's interior.

Kicking up a tsunami of sand covering that child eating an ice cream at the end of the playground cleverly identified as a long jump track, for a timeless showdown with Bob Beamon.

Of course, being chased by an infuriated father over the unexpected coating of his offspring.

Playing football with espadrilles, wearing suspenders (thanks, mom). But also doing both things simultaneously.

Coming out of the bathtub and noticing a strange smell coming from an unknown source. Thus, starting a search like a bloodhound and realizing the source is the towel I'm still rubbing myself with and that that bitch Amanda (the freaking house cat, always her) has soaked it with pee while I unknowingly amused myself among the bubbles.

Indulging in heavy jokes about the handicapped (quote: "Step on the Paralytic" - Skiantos) ignoring the disabilities of some of those present.

Crapping yourself in front of all the niece and nephew tribe in an attempt to beat the Guinness World record for the most explosive fart (for details, refer to the review of Black Tusk "Set The Dial" in the comments section).

Being lifted from the level crossing bars remaining snagged by your coat, levitating before a disbelieving platform.

Being asked by a young and attractive colleague "do you want a chinotto?"... only to discover with grave disappointment that she really has a can of San Pellegrino in her hand.

Passing out in the car’s interior because it's invaded by the pestilential miasma produced by the chatty father-in-law's halitosis and filled with a block of taleggio cheese.

The last album by Giovanni Allevi, "Equilibrium."

Giovanni Allevi

Giovanni Allevi is an Italian pianist and composer associated with accessible solo-piano music often labeled “contemporary classical.” In these DeBaser reviews he’s depicted as commercially successful and media-visible, praised for emotional immediacy by some listeners and criticized by others for predictability, shallow romantic gestures, and heavy marketing.
