Gaunt

Gaunt were an American punk/garage band from Columbus, Ohio, active in the 1990s and fronted by singer-guitarist Jerry Wick. Early work delivered raw lo‑fi blasts (including I Can See Your Mom From Here, recorded with Steve Albini), while later material pushed a more melodic, radio‑ready edge culminating in Bricks and Blackouts. Part of the Columbus scene alongside New Bomb Turks, the band ended in the late ’90s; Jerry Wick died in 2001 after a bicycle accident.
