Patton wants to make an ambient album?
Great.
Patton wants to make a children's album?
Great.
Patton is starting a project with Mino Reitano?
Great (umh... maybe not!).
Perhaps Patton wants to reach mental infirmity?
Blah, blah, blah.
Sorry:
But when is Patton going to MAKE MUSIC again?
Stop idolizing him! Even before his album hits the market, it is labeled as a masterpiece, and "Delìrium Còrdia" suffered the same fate; instead proving to be an ambient album that is useless and pretentious, marked by the usual megalomaniac crises of the Italian/American. It's unfortunate for some "good people" like Lombardo and Buzz, but the Fantômas "ship" unfortunately remains under the aegis of "General" Patton, author of a deep breach named "Delìrium Còrdia"... Unrecoverable.
Adieu Mr. La Folie.

It’s simply impossible, and my retreat to the most banal 'experimental' is nothing but a disguise for the elusiveness of this Delìrium Còrdia.
In the first twenty minutes, it really feels like being trapped in a Lynch or Cronenberg film.

The needle rests on the vinyl and the music begins... I’m on a bed, I feel my heart beating, it’s cold, it’s dark, I have to escape, away, far away, faster, faster!!!
Some say it’s a great scam, all special effects and no substance... Others a true masterpiece, innovative, never seen before, pure avant-garde!

Mike Patton... ah, what a character, huh? What is he, a genius? Maybe. A madman? Almost certainly yes.
This 'Delirium Còrdia' I wouldn’t even define as a musical album, I would rather describe it as a whim (annoying for that matter) that this capricious 'genius' wanted to indulge in.
