Sonata Arctica is one of my favorite bands, so I expected a rebound compared to the last two albums which had several missteps. Tracks like Losing My Insanity or The Day ... are among the best pieces in their discography in my opinion.

Stones Grow Her Name shows Sonata Arctica taking bold steps experimenting beyond their power metal roots with catchy and diverse tracks. The guitar work is more prominent, and songs like Losing My Insanity and The Day stand out considerably. The band blends atypical instruments and combines melodic and melancholic tones to create a rich, varied album. Despite some less successful moments, this album marks a satisfying rebound and showcases the band’s ongoing creativity. Explore Stones Grow Her Name and experience Sonata Arctica's adventurous metal evolution today!
With this Bag of Bones, the band’s stylistic change journey is completed, reaching a musical maturity that few other rock groups can afford today. Europe are no longer the five boys who seemed more like supermodels than musicians of the ’80s... Europe are excellent musicians and play great rock.

Europe’s ninth album, Bag of Bones, showcases a fully matured band embracing a heavier, blues and 70s hard rock-inspired sound. With John Norum’s prominent guitar riffs and Joey Tempest’s adjusted vocals, the album marks a clear evolution from their 80s glam roots to a more honest and creative expression. Standout tracks include the bluesy 'Not Supposed to Sing the Blues' and the acoustic interplay on 'Bag of Bones'. This album confirms Europe’s reinvention as serious musicians with lasting rock credibility. Listen to Europe’s Bag of Bones and experience their powerful blues-rock transformation today!
"The real jewel in the crown of this album is the vocal parts or rather the singer Kenny Leckremo." "Melody, technical quality, and lots of talent are the strengths of this Swedish band, deserving of stages at the European level."
