I don’t know if it’s Faber’s imprint that is heavily felt, but I rather believe it is his own (Bubola’s) that is strongly felt in De Andrè’s albums.

The fact that several tracks recall other great singer-songwriters can only be, from my point of view, a point in favor of Massimo Bubola, who has undoubtedly and undeservedly garnered less public acclaim.

Tre rose, Massimo Bubola's third album, carries the imprint of his collaboration with Fabrizio De Andrè while showcasing his own distinct voice. The album features Mexican-inspired rhythms, poetic and romantic ballads, and nostalgic references to Italian songwriting legends. Although some tracks are less appealing, the overall work is a well-paced, ironic, and charming piece deserving more recognition. The arrangements by Oscar Prudente enhance the listening experience, with standout songs like Encantado signorina and Sulla riva, la riva reflecting the close musical ties within the De Andrè circle. Explore Massimo Bubola’s Tre rose and dive into a captivating blend of poetic Italian songwriting and timeless melodies.

Retro seems to go beyond his previous work, it has a good taste of authentic singer-songwriter style and is overall a well-achieved project.

'Hating and denouncing human flaws is, in a way, more similar to philanthropy, so he hates us but actually loves us.'

Giovanni Block's album Retrò stands out as an authentic, nostalgic singer-songwriter work, praised for its lyrics, arrangements, and emotional depth. The album balances romance, sarcasm, and social commentary without falling into predictability or cliché. Released through crowdfunding, it has earned trust and appreciation from listeners. Tracks like 'Vi odio' exemplify its mix of irony and realism. Overall, Retrò offers a refreshing, well-crafted musical experience within the Italian singer-songwriter tradition. Listen to Giovanni Block's Retrò for a heartfelt blend of nostalgia and sharp social insight today!

Panella manages to make his songs immortal! What is immediately understood ceases to fascinate.

I must have listened to this album at least a hundred times in the past year, I’m not exaggerating!

The review praises Enzo Carella's 1981 album 'Sfinge' for its complex and hermetic lyrics by Pasquale Panella, highlighting its passionate themes of love and sexuality. Despite limited mainstream recognition, the album is noted for its unique musical fusion and timeless poetic qualities. Panella's lyrics challenge listeners with their depth and subtlety, making the album worth repeated listens for those willing to explore its nuances. Dive into the enigmatic world of Enzo Carella's 'Sfinge' and experience a unique blend of passion and poetic music today!
