With Lykaia, Soen have abandoned what they knew how to do best: powerful rhythms, frequent tempo changes, sudden drops in dynamics to then explode again in other unison riffs. Now they have transformed: the progressive component has been reduced and overall, the result is well-constructed and certainly well-played metal, but it leaves little room for anything else.

Soen's Lykaia marks a clear stylistic shift from their earlier progressive metal roots. The album features well-executed metal with less emotional depth and fewer dynamic rhythms. While some bluesy solos add atmosphere, many feel out of place. The vocals lack previous intensity, and the bass work seems uninspired compared to the prior album. Overall, Lykaia feels flatter and less original, leaving fans hoping for a fresh start rather than an endpoint. Explore Soen's Lykaia and judge for yourself the shift in their progressive metal journey.
The common denominator of all the CDs has been the lack of originality and faithfulness to Alice in Chains. My 3 stars indicate the technique and the enjoyment in listening to the fantastic group’s career products but in terms of originality, this latest 'effort' would deserve one star.

Godsmack’s album The Oracle stays true to its established style with powerful riffs and strong performances, especially on drums. However, the reviewer criticizes the lack of originality and evolution, noting the band’s heavy influence from Alice in Chains. Despite loyal fans and solid technique, the album feels like a safe repeat rather than a bold step forward. Listen to Godsmack’s The Oracle to judge its powerful sound and decide if the evolution you seek is present.
"Although the group is Italian, they have not created a monotonous album that only gives space to the singer." "'Ho imparato a sognare' is the song that, in my opinion, is worth the album: a beautiful musical background with an important message about dreams and motivation."

Negrita’s third album 'XXX' offers a balanced mix of calm, reflective songs and catchy, upbeat tracks. The group skillfully harmonizes instruments and vocals, avoiding monotony. Standout songs include 'Ho imparato a sognare' with harmonica, 'Lasciami dormire' sung by the guitarist, and the title track 'XXX'. The album explores themes from nonconformity to dreams and youth, ending on a melancholic yet beautiful note. Listen to Negrita's 'XXX' for a perfect blend of calm reflections and catchy rock vibes!
