Star is undoubtedly not a bad album, catchy and well-played, also containing some gems (Someone To Die For, Angel, Witch, Low Red Moon).

The risk of it becoming tiresome after a certain number of listens is there because perhaps it’s a bit too long, and in the final tracks, it seems to drag on wearily... Still, it’s a risk worth taking, don’t you think?!

Belly's debut album Star offers a pleasant mix of alternative rock, dream pop, and blues influences with Tanya Donnelly's composed songwriting. The album features standout tracks like Someone To Die For, Angel, Witch, and Low Red Moon. While catchy and well-performed, the album risks feeling a bit lengthy and repetitive towards the end. Overall, Star is a worthwhile listen for fans of 90s alternative music. Discover the dreamy and melodic sounds of Belly’s Star—listen now and dive into one of the ’90s alternative gems!

A dreamy atmosphere pervades the five minutes of this perfect fusion between pop and noise.

'Copacetic', the song that gives the album its title, contains a fantastic vocal line.

Velocity Girl's 1993 album 'Copacetic' delivers a compelling blend of indie pop-rock and lo-fi noise. Sarah Shannon's sweet vocals contrast beautifully with distorted guitars across eleven tracks, featuring highlights like 'Pretty Sister' and 'Copacetic'. The album showcases a range of sounds from dreamy melodies to punk aesthetics.
