Isolation Songs is an exciting work but not yet exceptional.

Birth, to be listened to in strict silence and with utmost concentration, is probably the highest expression of the sextet’s musical and communicative power.

Isolation Songs by Ghost Brigade is a compelling fusion of melodic death metal enriched with sludge and nu-metal elements rooted in Finnish metal traditions. The album shines through its engaging melodies, atmospheric production, and strong instrumental performance. However, the vocals are considered the album’s weakest point, lacking variety and expressiveness. While not yet exceptional, the album is a confident step forward from their debut. Listen to Ghost Brigade's Isolation Songs and experience a deeply atmospheric journey through melodic death metal's dark and melancholic soundscapes.

The best ingredient of this band is undoubtedly the sound that relies especially on the melodies of a violin and a cello.

It’s just a shame that they try to be too thrash, and this is poorly executed... but for the rest OK!!!!

Hevein's Sound Over Matter is a beautiful debut from the Finnish band, distinguished by its clever use of violin and cello, especially with former Apocalyptica cellist Max Lilja. The album mixes powerful guitar riffs with melodic and emotional choruses, and although their thrash attempts are weak, the rest of the album is strong and varied. Songs like 'As Far As The Eye Can See' and 'Worth Fighting For' stand out for their memorable melodies and emotional depth. This debut appeals to a broad audience, blending elements of doom, gothic, and melodic black metal. Listen to Hevein’s Sound Over Matter to experience a unique blend of melodic metal and classical strings!

Beautiful!!! Beautiful!!! My first words after listening to this work for the first time.

Tomas Tuominen deserves praise without a doubt, but especially the band, because at certain moments they are a pleasure to listen to.

Fall Of The Leafe’s Vantage marks a bold transition from melodic death metal to an original gothic rock style infused with rock rhythms. Vocalist Tomas Tuominen impresses with versatile, emotionally charged performances. The album offers captivating songs blending heavy riffs and melodic elements, with highlights like 'The Fresco' and 'The End Of Harvest.' This fresh take on gothic and dark rock is recommended for fans seeking both emotion and technical skill. Listen to Fall Of The Leafe's Vantage now and experience a unique blend of gothic and dark rock!

A great quality of this band is certainly the use of two voices, one male and the other female.

A work with many melodic moments that surely won’t betray fans of the genre.

Macbeth's third album Malae Artes reflects a strong presence in the Italian gothic metal scene, marked by melodic richness and dual male-female vocals. The album mixes heavy riffs, electronic elements, and symphonic touches, though some tracks vary in impact. Standout songs highlight the band's evolving style, from melodic ballads to darker growls. Overall, the album shows promise and confirms the band's potential without groundbreaking innovation. Explore Macbeth's Malae Artes to hear Italy's unique blend of melodic gothic metal with captivating dual vocals and symphonic flair.

The result of the work is nothing short of exceptional.

Never Alone is the breathtaking ballad placed last, precisely to exalt the listener with the most beautiful and precious gem.

Tony O'hora's Escape Into The Sun shines despite an unappealing cover. The album showcases hard rock with memorable riffs, technical solos, and compelling vocals. Several tracks evoke comparisons to Linkin Park and feature powerful choruses and intense pacing. The collaboration with producer Carlsson brings compositional and technical strength, especially highlighted in the longer tracks. Fans of Praying Mantis and hard rock will find much to enjoy in this highly recommended release. Listen to Tony O'hora’s Escape Into The Sun and dive into a fresh hard rock experience packed with powerful riffs and emotional depth.

An easy listen for the ears but tempestuous for the soul.

The great characteristic of this work is that the tracks are all equivalent, giving the work the sensation of a long, enchanting black dream.

Daylight Dies returns with 'Dismantling Devotion,' blending dark doom with cold death metal influences. The album features heavy riffs, majestic growls, and a symphonic focus. Drawing inspiration from Katatonia, Paradise Lost, and Novembre, it offers originality and consistent quality. Standout tracks include "A Life Less Lived" and the title track, praised for their atmosphere and musicianship. Dive into the dark, mesmerizing world of Daylight Dies and experience 'Dismantling Devotion' – a must-listen for doom metal fans!

If you’re listening to it, I hope you’re alone in the dark and, most importantly, with your eyes closed.

'Embraced By Darkness' as said before is the best; if you’re not clear on the meaning of the word Doom, then just listen to songs like this and doubts are immediately dispelled.

Saturnus' album 'Veronika Decides To Die' showcases their 15 years of expertise in doom/death metal with an emotional and romantic atmosphere.  The band doesn’t just return nor do they look back at their past, but rather, they evolve in an extraordinary way without losing their trademark.

Honor and respect to the great Hegg who conveys emotions in spades.

Amon Amarth’s sixth album 'With Oden On Our Side' is praised for its dynamic tempos, powerful melodies, and evolution without losing the band's signature Viking metal essence. Noteworthy tracks like 'Valhall Awaits Me' and 'Under The Northern Star' showcase both speed and emotional depth. The review highlights the band’s energetic execution, strong riff work, and compelling storytelling inspired by Norse legends.
