Holy Waterfall I had already heard it but without paying attention; listening to it again this morning, I really realized that in this album Aesop teaches metrics and rhymes like he hasn't in a while. Technically, I always prefer Rob Sonic (maybe, after Mf Doom, he’s the second most technical of all time), but Aesop is funnier.

DOPEFIGHT - Buds [FULL ALBUM] 2010 For a good month now, every now and then I wondered what the copied cover was for the latest - HORRIBLE - Bongzilla cover. And in the end, it came to my mind.

By the way, these guys stopped right away, and they were among the very few who understood that you just need to record it well, and you have a good Doom album. Nothing else is needed: Dopesmoker is 3 notes for over 70 minutes. It seems easy, but who knows, very few get it.

The Mammuthus - Last Trumpet Of A Giant (2021) [Full Album] This thing with names is kinda annoying. Ok 300 bands with Weed, 200 with Worship, 150 with Wizard, 80000 with Stone.
But if Mammatus already exists - and they are much, much further ahead of you - why do you have to name your band The Mammuthus?

...Because you’re an idiot, that’s why.

BONGZILLA - Weedsconsin (full album, 2021) // HEAVY PSYCH SOUNDS Records It’s not bad and worth ten times any album from any "weed wizard stone stoned acid worship buds smoke" band in the last ten years.

However, with just one guitar, it feels like the album is broken. Even though you know that the second guitar isn’t there, you still find yourself waiting for the moment when it joins in to complete the classic Zilla Song.

But it never comes.

What I really don't understand is: why didn’t they just call some random idiot to play the second guitar? Sure, they couldn’t find a decent bassist (that’s why Mule Boy plays the bass), and that’s fine, but damn, they could have at least found an idiot to play some riffs they tell him to. I could pull off a Bongzilla riff myself.

Motorpsycho ‎- Kingdom Of Oblivion (2021) [Full Album] In the first piece, there's the riff from Children of The Grave, cut in half. All the others reminded me of something too. Maybe it's a quiz.

Anyway, you listen to it once and that's enough, not bad but not exceptional. If I had to say something, this sound with the long echoes, in my opinion, doesn't fit at all. But there must be a reason that I don't know, and I'm certainly not in a position to tell Motopippi what they should do.

Fuzz Club is now the best label around, Heavy Psych Sound has all the "big names," but they are one older and more worn out than the other, it's already a lot if they remember their own names.

Stone Rebel - Space Indigo (Full Album 2021) They make genre stuff, the kind where you know exactly what's going to happen at least 10 seconds in advance. But they do it well, well recorded, and they only record 3/4 hours a year.

It's not heavy at all and they never stomp, don’t be fooled by the name "Stone Rebel" which sounds a lot like Dozer & Truckfighter on a high. They could call themselves The Psychedelic Grandmas, and no one would have anything to say.

Fluidage - Forgotten Space Dust (2001-2016) This one had fun making a G.Hits of Fluidage. A super useful job, given that Fluidage often gives us 90-minute records with 1 beautiful track of 15 minutes and the other 75 filled with random reverbs.
