What-
Lucio Dalla - Canzone
God strike me down, but I like this a lot, maybe the best since Henna excluding Ayrton.
Anal Kant - Anal Kant
I wonder why @[sfascia carrozze] and @[IlConte] have never mentioned it to me.

#Masterpiece
Finally, Sanremo is over, everything is over. See you Monday for the big real-time commentary. I won’t say much because there will be a lot to talk about and I’d like to say it all at once, but I’d like to attach a little postscript here: the fact that Truppi didn’t receive any recognition, not even an award at the end of the Festival (Best Lyrics Award to Fabrizio Moro, are you kidding?) from anyone connected to the Festival is further proof that no matter how hard one tries to bring something made solely for artistic purposes and not to be a music merchant, it shows how wrong and lazy the mindset of our entire country has become. We are now forced to see useless characters like Sangiovanni go to Sanremo and receive disproportionate appreciation without even deserving it, while figures like Truppi remain sidelined in general indifference. And I’m absolutely not complaining that Truppi has not found success, that’s not important: it’s the fact that excellence and talent have become the exception in today's musical world (and not just that), becoming external satellites to everything with which they have nothing to do. As Truppi himself said, "better to bore a hundred than to move one" and I wholeheartedly agree with him, but at the same time, I wish these hundred would finally have the desire to listen instead of opting for the easier choice out of laziness. I know this is impossible, but I really wish something of value wouldn’t be thrown away into general mediocrity just because it’s more "difficult." I hope for next year at this point, even though hoping has now become just a wish thrown to the wind.

TOP 3 TESTI PIÙ TRASH E ASSURDI DI SANREMO
Tomorrow we begin. After 11 months, the national event of us Italiote piattoles is back in full swing: Sanremo 2022, meaning "Sanremo 2020 2", because in terms of music we are at the levels of that year, or rather, much worse. 2021 had definitely more interesting contestants and some scattered surprises (and there was Oriettona Berti, we can’t say anything against her). Here, the expectations are lower than a dwarf who has passed under the sfasciamobile of @[sfascia carrozze] but let’s give Amedeus, aka Patato, some trust; maybe he’ll surprise me.

Buena vista, debaserioti
Giovanni Truppi - L'Unica Oltre L'Amore

Could it really be the best track of the 2010s? I don't know, in the meantime I'll go back to crying.
Raffaella Carrá' - Tanti Auguri [Audio HQ]
Well, this time how many are there? Idk, I'm not very good at math.

9°:V by Mannarino
Okay, for me this is definitely the one I've had the most varied opinion about: when it first came out, I thought it was excellent; with subsequent listens, it became quite intriguing, and now I consider it good. And this in less than three months—strange how life works. Anyway, V came with many expectations: it could have been a grand album rich in ethnic influences, a bit like Creuza de ma or Anima latina (even though it would never come close to those two masterpieces), and it had all the potential to be so, but it didn't fully meet those expectations. Songs like Vagabunda, Banca de New York Bandida, Ballabylonia, Agua are nice tracks, but they could have left an even stronger impression; even Lei, which should be the thematic centerpiece of the album, is very forgettable, just like the ballad Luna. These factors take it away from greatness, but it still has many strong points: the lyrics are excellently crafted—after all, it's Mannarino, not just any showman—Africa is a great song that leaves an impression, Cantaré is interesting as a piece and also engaging at times, Congo is quite unique, Fiume nero is where the expectations were fully met; the contaminated sound comes out magnificently. But the real exception that allowed V to take a place among the best albums of 2021 is found in the last track, Paura, which is radically the furthest from what the album aimed to propose but, paradoxically, turns out to be the most moving, gentle, and powerful episode of the album. And all this, with the last track. If the other twelve had been on par, it would have been the most beautiful album of the year. But we don't live in a perfect world, and V remains interesting; give it a listen; it’s not time completely wasted.

The gem:
Paura
