Blossoms - Care For

My love for the music of these guys is well known.
Keep it up!

The Who - Behind Blue Eyes (HQ)

Who's Next was released today, 50 years ago.

The Killers - Quiet Town

Today, Pressure Machine, the new album by The Killers, has been released. I've already listened to it twice, and my first thought is that it is the most American album of the band since Simon's Town. Perhaps even more so than Simon's Town. It’s impossible not to mention Nebraska by Springsteen for its atmospheres, many of the sounds, the lyrics, and the overall concept. The lyrics are a bit dark, nostalgic, focusing on the small, remote town in Utah where Brandon Flowers lived as a teenager. I love the idea of bridging the gap between songs with the voices of the actual townspeople recounting anecdotes to a local radio station. I was surprised by it, and I really like it, even though it strays quite a bit from the Killers that I love. I’ll add that, in my opinion (having seen them live several times), this album is not made to be played at the big concerts, which are one of their strengths.

Kool & The Gang - Fresh (Official Music Video)

If you feel hot...

P.S. but right now I am actually listening to the Libertines 😂

Twenty One Pilots - Redecorate (Lyric Video)

I don't wanna go like this at least let me clean my room

Dua Lipa - Levitating Featuring DaBaby (Official Music Video)

@[sfascia carrozze] inspired me.
I chose the version with the featuring because it felt more impactful.

Alcazar - Crying At The Discoteque (Video)

@[ZiOn] did we really forget that this gem is turning 20 years old????!!
Summer 2001 Baia Imperiale - Gabicce.
Unforgettable moments.

As for the video, I won't comment; it's so incredibly ugly that it shouldn't even be mentioned.
For the discerning connoisseurs, I remind you that the track is a sample from a song by ABBA.

We're flying high.

U2 - "Electrical Storm" (Official Music Video)

I don't think I've ever posted U2 on Debaser.

Alone, Together

Anyway, 20 years ago today, this amazing album was released, welcomed like the Holy Grail by all of us inconsolable orphans of indie and britpop from the recently concluded decade. I remember very well the whispers that circulated: oh, have you heard the Strokes? Did you buy it? Have you heard what it's like?
In short, there was still life on planet guitar!
And I can't help but think that without them, there wouldn't have been my beloved Arctic Monkeys.

So happy birthday
