Eagles- Bitter Creek
While preparing the paintings for an exhibition, I feel a sense of melancholy. It's for that worn-out guide with corners crumpled by the West's sun that sat alongside the oil paints - what was it doing there, I need to get organized! - and I recall the desert and the cacti, the hidden streams among the bushes, the dust with the colors of the rainbow, the abandoned mines... and I remember the Eagles with their guitars and voices singing 'you know there's no reason to cry at Bitter Creek.'

A-HA Take On Me 1984 Version
When we say: he is handsome, talented, and sensitive… referring to the Norwegian musician, singer, and composer Morten Harket of the group A-HA, who, with his unique vocal range (spanning five octaves), is the most powerful and imitated falsetto in the music scene (just look at Chris Martin from Coldplay!).
Be careful, if someone finds a flaw in Morten, please point it out to me, for example: too much hair, face too perfect, too tall and athletic, too kind, too educated, the perfect gentleman from another era, particularly versatile musician, voice too distinctive… help!

Li Yundi - Chopin Nocturnes
I know that some will jump out of their chairs: but who is this Yundi Li, compared to Pollini, Rubinstein (legendary, okay) and Zimerman. By the way, they are all artists on old LPs from my father that I still keep, but I could no longer listen to them because I threw away the stereo system (they couldn't find a fuse anymore... I know I made a mistake, I should have looked further and kept the system) but that's how it went. So, Yundi, because he is less warm and passionate than the interpretations I remember, to maintain a bit of clarity on this morning of white tragedy (Italy) and fire (the Tehran of my Iranian friend).
