Nothing to do, I want to reflect and surprise (or scandalize) you yesterday with an example of 'extremely popular acoustic crap' with a track from Maroon 5; today, just a few days before the Vernissage of the Venice International Art Biennale, I present to you from Hong Kong, Samson Young, an emerging sound artist who will be present with 'abrasive' works and performances using music and sounds as tools for political reflection in front of the entrance of the Arsenale (the Biennale has two main venues: the main one is in the 'Giardini,' the other is in the historical-industrial area of the Arsenale). Campo della Tana, Biennale, Venice from May 13 to November 26. Everyone has their obsessions; mine is this, the Eagles. Listening to them brings back memories of that part of the States that I loved the most and had always dreamed of seeing. Hearing 'Bitter Creek' sung by Bernie Leadon makes me picture the West of the USA, where I bought those brown boots that I still wear after all these years. Anyway, not all Americans are what you would expect them to be... in short, I feel good in Europe, and I travel to the rest of the world, a bit here and a bit there. Olè.

A green and shady island with clear, blue skies by day; at night, an indigo blue blanket dotted with stars. In the morning, a fresh breeze scented with green leaves and underbrush flowers awakens you, while in the evening, the breeze carries the salty scent of the sea, bringing you back to the boundary between earth and sky. The house I would design on this island would feature large, airy vaulted windows, plenty of wood, and local raw stones in some areas, especially around the fireplace. The walls and iron frames would be only white, in order not to disturb or distract the eyes from the colors of the external nature. A centrally located glass room extending to full height would house an indoor garden, including a Ficus benjamina evergreen tree. Bookshelves and colorful cushions on white fabric sofas in the living area, and outside, wicker chairs for reading and relaxing in the shade. Music would be audible throughout the island to accompany the different moments of the day, with internet connection to DeBaser. An easel and paints would be available for artistic inspiration. For lunch, breakfast, and dinner, a subscription to theFork, with a welcome variation from the restaurant 'Il barcaiolo' in Taormina. Visits and various advertisements are not accepted.

Official Love Like Aliens Short Film HD
ALIENS SAPIENS. In these weeks I am focusing on prehistory, from the first hominids to Homo sapiens sapiens – as we still call ourselves today – spanning millions of years of evolution. The stone age, and thus the age of metals, lasted hundreds of thousands of years, but only in the last ten thousand have we rapidly transitioned from stone working to computers, and this seemingly long period is just a tiny moment in our presence on the planet.
For this reason, I am fascinated by everything that accelerates the vision of a near future I would like to see: hurry, hurry... because on the horizon, I see only wars and conflicts. And I have a doubt: is this how we will live and continue to transfer our warlike spirit into the Universe?
THE VIDEO. 空山基 Sorayama Hajime is a Japanese illustrator and artist; he has won Japan's Grand Prize, the most prestigious design award in Japan, and has a permanent exhibition at the MOMA in New York and the Smithsonian Institute Museum USA. He is also part of a group of 25 Japanese artists for Nike's White Dunk Project.
