Oh my. Dave Jerden (Alice In Chains, Jane's Addiction, Talking Heads) is an engineer who, wherever he leaves his mark, creates a full, incisive sound. Here he produces Anthrax during their first session with the highly sought-after and praised John Bush on vocals, and this track, with its minor chords and rhythmic progression, is an orgasm to the ears. Hetfield is right when he describes it as a perfect song.

So, unexpectedly, Garbage are back and they announced a new album set to be released in June. This first single doesn't do much for me, but that's only because I prefer the rich, heavy sounds they're known for. However, I’m glad to hear them again.

Lana Del Rey - Video Games

The thing is, I don't really listen to much that's been produced since 2000. Most of my listening habits lean toward older music. Lana Del Rey is the only "contemporary" artist that I truly follow with passion. Particularly her first two albums, namely Born To Die and Ultraviolence. These are two important records for me. They are produced in a way that I really enjoy. Every detail of them (lyrics and interpretation included, of course) fits perfectly with what I like.

I consider this one of the most special by Richard Patrick. The concept behind the song and the album in general is the attainment of adulthood that, in a sense, changes the way you see things. I didn't always appreciate the video because it reminds me of those American movies set in colleges that were so trendy in the 2000s. However, when watched more closely, it is a fitting visual representation of that above concept. In fact, the band members seem lost and overlooked among the young guests at the party.
